The Tree View control is used in a number of dialogs in the software (Alternatives Manager, Engineering Libraries, etc).

You can search for specific items in the Tree View using the Search bar.

Begin typing to search. Any items matching the text (case insensitive) will appear in a list below. Both the label of the tree node and the path showing the tree parents will be displayed. Tooltips can be used to view the complete text by hovering the mouse cursor over an item in the list.

All searches are performed on whatever data was in the tree before searching.

Double clicking a search result will return the tree view with the item selected.

Alternatively, pressing enter will return to the tree view, selecting the currently selected search result.

Recent successful search terms can be accessed via the drop down button. Note that these are not saved between sessions.

Clicking the 'x' button or removing the search text will cancel the search and return to the tree view. When the search cancelled, whatever was selected on the tree prior to searching will be selected. If the search string is invalid, a single entry will be shown with a No results found label.
